I’m a second-year special education teacher with a passion for early childhood, inclusion, and celebrating the small (but mighty) wins that happen in our classrooms every day. I currently teach preschool special education, where I get to witness the magic of early learning unfold in the most joyful, messy, and meaningful ways.

I started Chalk & Change as a space to share my journey — the heart, the hustle, and the humor that come with being a special educator. Whether you’re looking for practical classroom ideas, real talk about teacher life, or just someone who gets it, you’re in the right place.

The name Chalk & Change reflects my belief that even the smallest tools — like a piece of chalk or a kind word — can lead to powerful change. In my classroom and on this blog, I'm all about progress over perfection, relationships over routines, and showing up with heart every single day.

When I'm not teaching or blogging, you can find me recharging with iced coffee, organizing way too many themed centers, or getting overly excited about new visual schedules and sensory bins.
